CMB video

videoThis is video of CMB dancing up a storm at a wedding. Also my first attempt at publishing video via email. Hopefully it works.

Edit: Something is wrong with the audio so just turn it down because it is REALLY annoying.  Sorry about the video darkness and quality.  This was taken with the video function of my cell phone.  It appears to work as far as uploading though.  I'll maybe post another video I have on it of the kids on a swing.

Pictures of the Kids

Well, this blogging stuff must be getting easier. Actually, I rather like Picasa (Thanks Jen!).

It had been so long since my previous post that we had gone ahead and had another kid! Below is a slide show of the two young ones.

By the by, Sarina Katherine was born December 14th in an at-home waterbirth. Everything went beautifully and we got a pretty little girl out of it.

Skydiving Pictures

It's really been more than a year, huh? Crazy. I'm trying out a new function using Picasa's Web Albums. If this works as easily as I think it is going to, there may be many more postings coming your way.

All of these shots were from our big group skydive that I organized this past Memorial Day.

3 Months of CMB and Mother's Day

I feel pretty bad about not keeping up with the blog, so we'll see how many pictures I can cram into this post. First, CMB is almost 2 and a half now and we're looking forward to giving him a little brother or sister around his third birthday!

If any one wants full-res copies of any of these, let me know.

CMB back in March

Enjoying some chocolate at Easter

The weather broke, so the tricycle came out!

Now he's even more mobile than before

They grow up so fast you know? Seems like yesterday I was changing diapers, and today he's shaving

We took CMB and P's family down to the Krohn Conservatory for an African Butterfly exhibit

CMB enjoying some pierogies

I didn't get many great pictures of the butterflies, but I liked this one

The Krohn has a whole orchid room

A lot of really cool orchids

These were so cool. The picture reflects the color pretty accurately. The cool thing about these was that when you looked at them through the digital camera screen, they were this really intense blue color. None of the other orchids were like that.

So that's a little update. I'd like to say that won't be another six months before my next update, but history shows that you never know.

Time Keeps on Slipping, Slipping, Slipping....

Wow, August since the last post, huh? Plus comment spam. I get emails when people comment, and I really wasn't sure who lucygonzo-whatever was when I saw it in my inbox.

Your intermittent blogger has been getting his a$$ handed to him with work, school, and home.

A lot of things have been going on, mostly school and home related. CMB is doing great and is now really repeating everything you say. School is going well, but is taking up a lot of my blogging free time.

P and I had our 6th Anniversary this past weekend. We had a really full weekend. We went to Tall Stacks (too lazy to link) in the morning, dropped CMB off at Grandma and Grandpa B's then went to dinner and saw 'The Departed'. Great movie by the way. Then we picked up CMB yesterday and took him to the Ohio Renaissance Festival.

I really do have tons of pictures to put up, and I will try to get some up in the next week or so.

Miss you all and at some point I'll get this time management thing down.

Didn't There Used to Be a Blog Here?

You know, this guy used to post here and put up pictures of his kid and family and things they were doing. What ever happened to him?

A lot since his last post!

Seriously, enough of the third person.

It has once again been an almost criminal amount of time since I last posted. I've got some pics, quick updates, future goings-on, etc.

So, P is graduated and I'm getting ready to go back to school. I start next week.

A lot of weddings and showers going in the next month or so, so I should have plenty of pics of CMB all dressed up here pretty soon. Assuming that my blogging frequency picks up. At this rate, I'll have them up by the time CMB is just about ready to start high school.

CMB is doing just fine and having a blast this summer.

Here's some pictures until I can find something good to talk about (suggestions welcome in the comment section....seriously, I got nothin').

As you can see above, we have decided that continuing to feed him has been good for his health.

Surprisingly enough, he will also grow when watered.

The end result is a kid who thinks he can move mountains....or at the very least, wading pools.

Here's just a few random shots from the last month or two:

First Night without CMB and a VERY Full Weekend

Well, two weekends ago, we had our first night away from CMB. We dropped him off with my parents ad went out for the night. First stop, Pappadeaux. A great little chain restaurant that specializes in cajun seafood. We had a fantastic dinner and afterwards, were completely paralyzed by the endless possibilities of the evening.
Let me put this in a bit of context. We had not had a night without CMB in almost 18 months. Now, here we were, free to do whatever we pleased! It was almost too much. Movie? Clubbing? Drinking? Gambling? Whatever would we do on this auspicious occasion?
After at least a half an hour of indecision, I made an executive one. We were going to Argosy, a riverboat casino just over the Ohio-Indiana border. The plan was to take about $100 with us and play slots for an hour or so, then go find some other bar at which to drink. Things could not have turned out more differently.
Once we got there, we headed for the $0.25 slots. After each of us dropped a $20 in our machines, we pushed buttons until our credits read zero. I decided that a change of machines was necessary and walked about the casino waiting for one to call out to me. Eventually, one did, and I sat down at a 25-cent Double Diamond machine. I put in $20 dollars and played it up and down for a little while. Then, after being on the boat for about 20 minutes total, I heard my machine go crazy and start counting credits. I looked at the third payline, triple Double Diamonds. That's right folks! 2,400 credits (plus the 5 I got for payline 1 for triple Bars)! I already had quite a few credits from playing it up and down and after all my credits were counted, I had about $675 in that machine. I played around down to $650 and cashed out. To be quite honest, I was still in a bit of shock even as I ordered myself a celebratory beer and didn't really believe it until I woke up the next morning and saw that there were a lot of Benjamins staring at me from my wallet.

Fast forwarding to later Sunday, we went to the Reds game with P's family and CMB. The Reds staged a late comeback down 4-1 for a walk off homerun in the bottom of the ninth to win 5-4 against the Diamondbacks. CMB enjoyed the game, and all of the pictures below with the extremely wet hair are from the water we dumped on his head, not sweating profusely as it might first appear.

Here's a few pics of CMB with grandpa D at the game:

You can't be at a ball game without snacks!

Near the end of the game, CMB was getting a little bored and tired:

On Monday (Memorial Day) we went down to Taste of Cincinnati with my dad. It was HOT. CMB was in pretty good spirits for as hot as it was.

Here's a shot of CMB with Papa:

CMB loves to help. Here, he helps P push his stroller:

For some reason, he also likes to stick his tongue out. Every time you say, 'CMB, look at daddy!', you get the tongue. I think it's been lost in translation somewhere. It may also be contagious, as P caught it too.

After leaving Taste of Cincinnati, we went home and stopped by a park on the way there. They were having a little carnival and CMB rode the carousel.

The video below could very well be sent in to America's Funniest Videos. No CMB's were harmed in the making of this film:
